On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Fayette County, Georgia Branch NAACP resumed our Annual Freedom Fund Banquet at the Hilton Peachtree City Atlanta Hotel and Conference Center, 2443 Highway 54 West, Peachtree City, Georgia. The theme for this occasion was "Advocating for Civic Engagement: Preparing for an Uncertain Future.” Your generous support helped fund youth activities, community activities, and the annual MLK observance ceremony. Sponsors, advertisers and supporters of this fundraiser are very instrumental with helping to reach the organization’s annual financial goals. This year we were counting on sponsors and advertisers to help us raise $10,000. Although contributions to our NAACP Unit are not tax deductible for charitable federal income tax purposes, your generous support is appreciated and helps to serve all the citizens of Fayette County.
Our organization is an all-volunteer civil rights advocacy organization working tirelessly to proactively find solutions to social and legal matters that affect people’s livelihood. Our signature events include the MLK Parade & Program, Youth Economic & Educational workshops and forums such as voter education, health and civil justice. We have multiple committees that regularly coordinate with local businesses, organizations, and government officials at various levels in order to promote fairness, equity, equal opportunity and diversity in Fayette County government and area businesses.
